
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Drift Appalachia has hosted three events with a community focused aspect following the first day of touge drifting. Touge Special Stage 2 & 3 in Beckley, West Virginia featured a downtown cruise-in and in Stanton, Kentucky a movie night at the local drive-in theater. Each event drew in thousands of locals interested in motorsport, drifting, and car culture in general. Professional drift drivers mingled with the local populace to share a common love of motorsport as well as teach about the aspects of drifting that others might not have known.
ECONOMIC IMPACT
From Forbes: The average daily expenditure for a tourist is roughly $367 per person, per day. Drift Appalachia capitalizes on this fact to infuse cash into the local economy over an event weekend. Over the course of the event, all participants are encouraged to explore and support local small businesses. in total, Drift Appalachia helped in injecting nearly 4.1 million dollars into local Appalachia Region economies in Q4 2023 and Q1 & Q2 2024.
